The "Return Home Day" Event for the " Hundreds of Rivers Return to the Sea" Alumni of the School of Marine Science and Technology Concluded Successfully

In the warm sunshine of October, as autumn begins to set in, the School of Marine Science and Technology welcomed a remarkable event—the "Hundreds of Rivers Return to the Sea" Alumni Return Home Day. This event was grandly held from October 1 to 2, with numerous alumni gathering from all corners of the country at the place where their dreams once set sail, reminiscing about their youthful days and nurturing the bonds of friendship between teachers and students.

On October 1, the school hall was set up early with an alumni check-in desk. Faculty representatives and volunteers warmly welcomed each returning alum, presenting them with commemorative badges and books.

At 10 AM on October 2, the alumni embarked on a laboratory tour guided by volunteers. The advanced equipment and cutting-edge research achievements in the lab left the alumni in awe. They expressed their admiration for the campus's rapid changes and the significant enhancement of research capabilities. In that moment, they felt they could see their younger selves, who used to strive for their school dreams, and they envisioned a vibrant future for the school.

Following this, the alumni and current faculty and students gathered in Room 319 of the Eighth Teaching Building to watch the live broadcast of Tianjin University's 130th Anniversary Conference on High-Quality Development. They listened to General Secretary Xi Jinping's letter addressed to all faculty and students of Tianjin University, which inspired the students greatly. Many expressed their determination to remember the General Secretary's heartfelt expectations, aspire to great heights while staying grounded, and integrate their youthful wisdom and efforts into the great cause of national rejuvenation.

Afterward, faculty and students collectively listened to speeches from leaders at different levels, congratulatory remarks from brother institutions and overseas universities, as well as the school's report on high-quality development and reflections from outstanding alumni and exemplary faculty and student representatives. Once the broadcast concluded, everyone felt inspired and immensely proud to be part of the prestigious Tianjin University.

At noon, the university prepared a complimentary anniversary meal for returning alumni.
