On April 26th, coinciding with the second anniversary celebration of Jianhua Elderly Nursing Home and the birthday party for the elderly residents, volunteers from the School of Marine Science and Technology and students from the Class 1 of the 2024 cohort entered the nursing home to share this wonderful moment with the seniors.

At the beginning of the event, the elderly residents took the stage first and started the performance. As the beautiful singing filled the air, the atmosphere on-site gradually became lively and cheerful. Next, everyone joined together to sing "The Song of the Strong Army," with its stirring melody showcasing vibrant energy. The graceful tune of "Tianjin University Anthem" conveyed a sense of deep cultural heritage. The students also extended heartfelt blessings to the elderly residents, with phrases like "Wishing you a long life, good health, and smooth sailing in all your endeavors," filled with love and care for the seniors.

Later, students from Hunan and Shandong Provinces enthusiastically shared their experiences as learners, describing their observations and encounters in Tianjin, known as "The Fun City." Their dialect performances were humorous and entertaining, bringing laughter to everyone present. The participants also engaged in a blindfolded stepping game with the elderly residents, creating a joyful and harmonious atmosphere throughout the event.
At the end of the event, the volunteer students brought out a birthday cake, and everyone assisted the elderly residents in blowing out the candles and making their wishes. They sang "Happy Birthday" together and presented heartfelt greeting cards, which elevated the atmosphere to a climax filled with joy and well wishes.
