Research Fields

I study physical oceanography and the role of the ocean in the climate system, using a combination of realistic/idealized models, satellite observations, and theory formulations. Specific topics include structure, dynamics and consequences of mesoscale and submesoscale processes, striations, ocean energetics and mixing, and fundamental geophysical fluid dynamics.
